Edward O. Lee transitioned To heaven at his home in Hampton, Virginia on Wednesday March 25th. Edward was a 1959 graduate of Huntington High School. Ed, went on to serve our country in the United States Army. Ed dedicated his life to a career at the Newport News Shipyard and retired after 31 years of service. Ed was a lover of all sports but had a special place in his heart for the Los Angeles Lakers and the Washington Redskins. He loved hunting and was a long term member of Parkview Hunting club and Holly Grove Hunt Club.
Ed loved his family and children and enjoyed spending time with them whenever he could. He was a joke teller with a crazy sense of humor and even after his mind was altered by dementia he never ever lost his sense of humor or is knack for always having a snappy comeback. Ed loved to look and dress nice and was always particular about his appearance. Until the very end he had calm and infectious spirit and even when angered he never raised his voice. He was truly a gentle soul far too good for this world.
