Eddie Frank Blow, Jr. went home to be with the Lord on June 8, 2022. He was born in Norfolk, VA on August 18, 1950. As a child, he and his family lived in Newsome Park. He attended Newsome Park Elementary School and graduated from G. W. Carver High School in 1968. He also attended Norfolk State College (University).
He was preceded in death by his parents, Eddie Frank Blow, Sr. his mother, Flora Lee Blow and his beloved daughter, Yolanda Blow.
In 1980, he married Delores Colclough in Bridgeport, Connecticut. Three children were born to their union; Patrina, Eddie and Yolanda. Eddie was employed by Sikorsky Aircraft in Stratford, CT, and later Remington Arms Company in Bridgeport, CT, a subsidiary of DuPont Company, where he worked as a machinist. He became ill in 1992 and had to use a cane for support. However, he lived a very productive and independent life. He would help anyone that needed help; even people with malice and dark thoughts in their hearts yet he was a spiritual guide sharing with them about the teachings of Jesus Christ.
Eddie was a member of First Baptist Church Jefferson Park. He lived a spiritual life devoted to God. He was a quiet soul and a gentle spirit. He made mistakes, learned from them and shared those lessons with others. He brought hope and understanding to as many people as he could. Eddie’s life is a testament to the strength of the human spirit even though the body often fails.
He is survived by his wife, Delores Blow; two children, Patrina, Eddie (Vicky); five grandchildren, Sasha, Ontae (Anna), Ontrele, Nasir and Qu’Ran; two brothers, Raiford (Louvenia) and Sherman (Gail), two sisters, Trumiller and Delores; a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
