Mr. Dreshaun Lamarr Pruden “Dre”, 32 passed away on May 17, 2025 in Newport News Va. He was a graduate of Heritage High School. He continued his education at Centura College where he graduated to become an electrician. At the time of his passing he was also attending barber school. Dreshaun had one full time job and 3 part time jobs, if he wasn’t working one of his jobs you could find him working on someone’s car.
Dreshaun was an avid football and basketball player. His favorite past time was playing with his children, spending time with family and friends and competing against his son, brother and cousins in video games. Dreshaun had a heart of gold with a smile to match that would brighten up any room he walked into. Always one to make you laugh with his jokes. Always trying to sing or dance while saying his favorite catch phrase “Aint it Mane”.
He would help any one with anything in anyway that he could. Always lending an ear to anyone that just needed to talk. The life of the party that’s gone too soon but the memories of you will always be with us. You are and always will be greatly missed Dreshaun Pruden “Dre” aka Boomane.
Dreshaun is preceded in death by his Maternal Grandmother; Paris Salih, Paternal Grandmother; Irene Hunter and Paternal Grandfather; Chuck Chavers (Hampton), Brother; Andre "shorty man" Hunter.
He leaves to cherish his memory his children; Ka’liyke Carter, Da’Shaun Pruden, Da’saan Pruden and Dachanna L. Pruden (deceased). Mother; Channa Pruden and Father; Andre Hunter. Siblings; Leshaun Pruden, Dachanna Pruden, Antoine Holland Jr., Christopher Weaver, Brother/cousin Terry Hilton Jr., Jasmine Hunter, Marrion Ashlock, Marcus Gay, Zach Felton, Mercedes Hunter, Nautica Scott, Sade Hunter, Andrea Burrell, Lamar "Shorty" Burrell, Lashawna Cola, Andre Hunter Jr, Tyrese Hunter, Alexis Hunter, Anya Swift, Kierra Smith, Grandfather; Abu Adam Salih(Diane) Niece; Dasani Pruden whom held a special place in his heart. Godson Jay Shawn, Best Friend Monee Chamblee, Good friends; Jamario and Courtney Harper, Kirk, Joe and his buddy Malik Strong, and a host of family, friends, aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews.
It is the desire of the Pruden family that you keep them in your thoughts and prayers.
