Mr. Donell Bowles

Mr. Donell Bowles, 61, father of Ms. Donyell Bowles of Georgia transitioned on Saturday, February 22, 2025 at Sentara Hampton General in Hampton, Virginia.  Donnell was born to the late Herbert and Nita Bowles.  He attended the Newport News Public Schools graduating from Menchville High in 1981.  He reunited with his church family, First Baptist Church Jefferson Park,  about 6 months ago helping where he was needed.  Donnell worked several jobs over the years but spent most of his working years at Howmet in Hampton, Virginia.

In eternal rest he will unit with his wife (Katie), Father and Mother, brothers Herbert Jr. and Andra; three aunts; 8 uncles; one nephew and several cousins and friends.

He leaves to cherish his memories his daughter, Donyell; brothers Dennis (Connie), Wendell and Leonard all of Newport News,  VA; aunt Elois McGlone of Newport News, VA; uncles Ester Bowles of Alabama, Norman Bowles and William Bowles both of Newport News, VA and a host of cousins and friends.

He will be remembered as a hardworking, loving and devoted father, brother, uncle, cousin friend.

It is the desire of the Bowles Family that you keep them in your thoughts and prayers.

Donnell's Celebration of Life Service will be private.

The family of Mr. Donell Bowles has entrusted his final care to C. C. Carter Funeral Home.
