Mr. Devan Ramon Hughes

Devan Ramon Hughes entered eternal rest on Thursday August 29, 2019 at Sentara Careplex  Hospital in Hampton Va.
He was born December 22, 1989 to the late Wendella James-Maddrey and Raymond Hughes of NN Va. 

He graduated from Bethel High School in 2008 and attended St Pauls College in Lawrenceville, Va. 
Devan enjoyed dancing, rapping, eating, family functions and being "stylish".
He was affectionately known by his smile.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Wendella James-Maddrey and Raymod Hughes of NN Va; grandfather Wesley James, great-grandparents Leslie and Annie Taylor; Aunt Sheila Banks and great-aunt Barbara Rather.

He leaves to cherish his memory: His devoted and loving Grandmother, Mrs. Shirley James of NN Va; two uncles, Carl James (Linetta) Hampton Va., Anthony James(Malika) of NN; four aunts Ramona Wilson(Willis), Anita James and Sandra James of NN, Marguerite Dawes(Willie) of Hampton, Va. great-aunt Gwendolyn Odum of NN Va., the Hughes family and a host of cousins and friends.

A viewing for Mr. Devan Ramon Hughes will be held two hours prior to the service from 10:00 a.m. until noon Saturday, September 7, 2019 at Grace Temple C.O.G.I.C., 21 Turlington Road, Newport News, Virginia.

Services for Mr. Devan Ramon Hughes will be held noon Saturday, September 7, 2019 at Grace Temple C.O.G.I.C., by Pastor Jimmy Searcy.

Interment will be private.
