November 4, 1936 - October 3, 2021

Mr. Delano Roosevelt Taylor was a longtime resident of Hampton, Virginia. He was an Honorable Veteran of the post-Vietnam Wars, serviced and was an honorable disabled veteran of the United States (Army). He cherished his loving memories to his entire family members and friends. He attended Hampton Public School System and received a diploma. He was a master mechanic by trade and he worked various occupations throughout his career until he became unable to continue. He was a musician; his expertise was acquired by his personal ability and musically talented. His love for good music influenced others, he also played the guitar. He was a jack of all trades, a fixer and handyman by craft.
Father to the late Debra Denise Taylor (Gorman), of Silver Spring, Maryland, Father to R. Rene Taylor Kendall & Son-in -Law, Evette Delano Kendall, of Silver Spring, Maryland. Grandfather to Brian N. Cook & G’Tearra Denise Gorman, Great-Grandfather to Savion Gorman Blocker, and Sierra, both of Silver Spring, Maryland. Husband, married but ending in divorce to Ruby C. Taylor, of Hampton, but resides in Washington, DC for the past fifty-five years.
He was the son of the late Leonard & Ann Taylor of Hampton, Virginia, brother to the late Mary Graham Walters, brother to the late LaBarbara Crowmell, of California, brother to Ruth E. McCullerses and Gladys Doggett, both of Hampton. A host of nephews, nieces, cousins, and friends.
