Mr. Davonte l. Mitchell 23 of Newport News, VA. was called home on June 25, 2018. He leaves behind 2 beautiful daughters Zoey M. Nichols and Sy'Ari D. Mitchell. Davonte was born to Angenette Mitchell (Corey Parks of Newport News, VA.

He is survived by his siblings Cory Mitchell, Diamond T. Manigault, and Tyreek M. Mitchell, Shakur Dargan, Keyonni Chandler, Carl Slaughter. He was the oldest amongst the kids. Davonte was an upstanding man and always making jokes enjoying life. He was a devoted father and family oriented person. We will truly miss him.

Services for Mr. Mitchell will be held 11:00a.m. Tuesday, July 3, 2018 at C C Carter Funeral Home,Inc. by Elder Roddrick Jenkins.

Interment will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park.

Viewing will be held two Hours prior to service.
