Mr. Davey Budden, Jr. Obituary

Davey Budden Jr., affectionately known as “DJ”, quietly slipped into eternal rest on Tuesday, February 11, 2020 at Riverside Regional Medical Center. He was born October 29, 2001, to Davey and Michelle Budden Sr., of Hampton, Virginia.

Davey was educated in Newport News Public Schools and graduated from Heritage High School on June 5, 2019, where he participated in the Early College and S.T.E.M program. DJ was also a member of the Heritage High School Football Team. He was enrolled at Thomas Nelson Community College majoring in Engineering. Davey worked at the Virginia Air and Space Center and Bath and Body Works.

DJ touched so many lives in his journey of life by spreading love, joy, creativity, and passion. He was a man of awesome character who had endless potential and was nowhere done leaving his impression on the world. He was not only pursuing his academic goals, but he was a successful entrepreneur. Davey’s laughter was infectious and his humorous view of life was contagious; he lit up the room with his radiant smile, laughter, and love for fashion.  Spending time with family and friends was everything to DJ, no matter how busy life got, he always paused and enjoyed every opportunity.

DJ’s love was unconditional and everlasting for his aunt  Kisha Blakeney (Kamaree, Kalesha), aunt Jackie Simmons, aunt Sheena and uncle Marc West (DJ), aunt Tiya Perkins, Grandma Sissy, and cousins Precious Bridges, Queen Wooten, Special Bridges, and Diamond Laws.
