Mr. Daniel Lee Wilkins

Daniel Lee Wilkins passed away Friday, October 11, 2019.

He was born on February 12, 1948 to the late William and Effie Wilkins in Nash County, North Carolina.

His early childhood education was in Nash County, N.C. Later he moved to Newport News, Virginia. He was employed by the City of Newport News until he retired.

He was preceded in death by his Father (William) and Mother (Effie) Wilkins. His sister Dorothy, Marie, Mary, Daisy, Annie Mae, Louise and a brother Joseph.

He leaves to cherish in his memory one daughter Stephanie Davis (Timothy) of Newport News, VA. Two grandsons Damien and Tyqon of Hampton, VA. Three brothers, George Wilkins (Mary) of N.C., Samuel

Wilkins (Lolita) of Maryland, Clevester Wilkins (Dale) of N.C. Four sisters Dewilla Dabney, Susie Taylor, Delores Clark (William), Betty Paige (Michael) all of Maryland.

A host of nieces, nephews and friends. A special friend Ms. Virgie Thomas of Newport News, VA.

Viewing for the late Mr. Daniel Lee Wilkins will be held 2 hours prior to the service from 10:00 a.m. until noon Friday, October 18, 2019 at New Hope Baptist Church.

Services will be held noon Friday, October 18, 2019 at New Hope Baptist Church, 1415 Big Bethel Road Hampton, Virginia by Dr. Christopher C. Carter, Sr.

Per request of the family Interment will be private.

It is the desire of the Wilkins family that you keep them in your thoughts and prayers.
