Mr. Danard Whitt Bunn, Sr.

Mr. Danard Whitt Bunn, Sr. a.k.a. “Big Dana” transitioned this life on Thursday September 10th, 2020. He is the Son of the Late Mr. Louis E. Bunn, Sr. and Mrs. Lizzie L. Bunn.

He is predeceased by his Brother Louis E. Bunn, Jr. Mr. Bunn is a graduate of Bethel High School, Class of 1972. He also attended Old Dominion University. Mr. Dana Bunn is a native of the Hampton Roads Community. He served in the U. S. Army with honor and distinction. Further, he served as Union Delegate for the Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW)-Hampton Chapter). His VFW organized several drives for veterans and community food drives. He also served as President of the Veterans “Oxford” House. In this capacity, Danard, transported his fellow Veterans on errands to take care of their affairs the first of each month.

He was a member of All Nations Church of Hampton, Virginia. He retired from the Hampton Veterans Administration after thirty-six years. He leaves to behind to cherish his memories his beloved son Danard Whitt Bunn Jr. , his daughter-in-law Kimberly Bunn; his adored grandchildren, one grandson Jordan M. Bunn; and three granddaughters Myaisha L. Ruffin, Londyn T. Bunn and Sariya A. Muldrow; one Uncle Robert Whitt Allen of Atlanta Georgia; two Brothers Hayes C. Robinson II (Sandra) and Donovan K. Bunn; three sisters Dr. Pamela B. Bunn-Butts (Robert); Lisha J. Bunn-Synaker (Christopher) and RoseMarie L. Bunn. Also, several cherished nephews, nieces and many highly thought of cousins and friends.

Viewing for Mr. Bunn will held from 2:00p.m.until 6:00p.m. Thursday, September 17, 2020 at C.C.Carter Funeral Home, Inc.

Services for Mr. Bunn will be held 11:00a.m. Friday, September 18, 2020 at New Hope Baptist Church. 1415 Big Bethel Rd. Hampton, VA. by Dr. Christopher C. Carter Sr.,

Entombment with Military Honors will follow at Hampton Memorial Gardens.
