Mr. Curvin D. Harris

 Mr. Curvin David Harris departed this life on June 15, 2018 at Providence Hospital, Columbia. SC.  He was born July 28, 1967 in Newport News, Virginia. 

Curvin accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior at an early age at the Mount Calvary Baptist Church in Newport News Virginia. 

He was a member of New Hope Baptist Church, Hampton, VA until relocating to Columbia, SC. 

Curvin was a 1986 graduate of Phoebus High School, Hampton, VA where he played varsity basketball, football and participated in track and field.  He also graduated from Strayer University in 2008 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Human Resource. 

  During his career he was employed at the Newport News Shipyard as a welder and crane operator, Cannon as Production Scheduler, Howmet as a Production Planner and Continental Tires Company as a Manufacturing PLT & Tire Logistic Planner.

    He leaves to cherish precious memories the love of his life, his wife Carla Harris, two son Brandon (Nikole) Austin-Harris and Dominique Hollier of Hampton and Darrius (Tiera) Carter of Colorado Spring, CO; two beautiful grandchildren Nyla and Elijah Austin; a loving and devoted mother Sylvia C. (Charles) Greene, father Theodore Jackson; two sisters, Veronica (Clarence) Harris-Hill of Richmond, VA and LaTonya Reynolds Chattanooga, TN; seven brothers, Ryan Taylor of Columbia, SC, James (Sonya) Stamps of Hampton, VA, Theodore Jackson, Jr., Jerome Jackson, Michael (Lunette) Jackson. Carlos (Seleste) Jackson, Sr. and Jerrod Jackson of Chattanooga, TN; a cherished grandmother Lois Harris; uncles, Fred Ballard of Columbia and Kyle (Bettina) Harris Hampton, VA; aunts, Regina (Joe) Melton, Pamela Slaughter and Tracey (Mac) Burgess of Hampton, VA.  Best Friends, Gerald Lawrence, Steve Gross, Ricky Hall, Morris Smith and June Turner.  A goddaughter Jamicia Stamps and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Services for Mr. Harris will be held noon Monday, June, 25, 2018 at New Hope Baptist Church 1415 BIg Bethel Rd. Hampton, VA. by Dr. Christopher C. Carter Sr., 

Entombment will follow at Hampton Memorial Gardens. 

Viewing for Mr. Harris Will be held from Noon Until 5:00p.m. Sunday, June, 24, 2018 at C. C.Carter Funeral Home, Inc. 

The family will be receiving guest at 6 Dundee Road, Hampton, VA  23669 from 3:00 pm to 9:00 pm, Saturday and Sunday.
