Mr. Charles Leslie was born on March 21, 1965, in Pinehurst to the late Charlie Ray and late Mary Tew Leslie who preceded him in death. He was a man whose life reflected strength, loyalty, resilience, and quiet dignity.
Charles was known for his warm spirit, genuine heart, and ability to make everyone around him feel welcomed, valued, and appreciated. He lived life with authenticity, and his presence left a lasting impression on family, friends, and all who were blessed to know him.
On May 5, 2026, Charles departed this life in Richmond, Virginia. Though his earthly journey has ended, the love and memories he leaves behind will forever remain in the hearts of those who loved him.
He leaves to cherish his memory two loving daughters, Teeara Gilbert (Calvin) of Hampton and Angel Kelly of Newport News, along with his four beloved grandchildren. He is survived by his siblings: Gregory McEachern of Kenbridge Va, Rosa Leslie Love (Jerry) of Raeford NC, Mamie Leslie Sanders of Raeford NC, and Leroy Tew of Fayetteville, NC. Charle was preceded in death by his brother, George McEachern Jr, and his grandson, Amir Kelly. In addition to his immediate family, Charles leaves behind a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family, and dear friends who will forever treasure the moments shared with him.
It is the desire of the Leslie, Gilbert and Kelly families that you keep them in your thoughts and prayers.
