Mr. Charles M Cooper came to the end of his earthly journey on Friday, March 11, 2020 while surrounded by his family.
Born on August 23, 1942 in Princess Anne County, VA,Charles was the eldest child of the late Claspis and Bernice Cooper. After completion of his formal education in Princess Anne County, VA, he and his late wife Delores M. Cooper laterrelocated to Queens Jamaica, New York where he resided for 17+ years. Charles later returned to the Hampton Roads area where he worked at the Department of The Navy, Naval Ophthalmic Support and Training Activity for 20+ years before retiring.
Charles renewed his covenant of faith in Jesus Christ as his personal Savior, based on his reaffirmation of faith, those of us who remain and live in Christ do not have to grieve as those who have no hope in Jesus, or the hope of His resurrection.
A man with a discerning eye for sophistication, Charles re-married his friend Sherry B. (née Eure) Cooper.
Charles loved his family and he let his actions speak for him. One of the special things he really liked doing for family was having cook-outs.
Charles leaves to mourn and affectionately remember him: his beloved wife Sherry B. Eure-Cooper and companion Mr. King (dog); cherished daughters, Kaseal M. Mitchell (Elijah)of Hampton, VA, Castina E. King of Newport News, VA. ; Lovingsons, Charles M. Cooper Jr. And Adrian Hart both Hampton, VA and Cameron T. Cooper and Sean Tyler both of Newport News, VA. treasured step-daughters, Shenique Bethea (Tiffany) of Charlotte, NC, Shanita Eure Lewis (Adrian) of Newport News, VA, and Deidra Eure of Hampton, VA; six loving grandchildren and 6 loving great-grandchildren. A caring brother, ClaspisCooper Jr. of Hampton, VA; devoted sister, Marie Cooper- Billups of Hampton, VA; and many other relatives and friends.
Services for Mr. Cooper will be held Thursday, March 19, 2020 (Private). at C.C.Carter Funeral Home.Inc by Bishop Elect- Dwight Riddick
Interment will be private.
