Mr. Calvin(STINKA) Leon Ruffin was born in Newport News Virginia on July,13,1953 to Dorothy Mae Ruffin and Aley David Ruffin. He gained his wings on October 24,2023Calvin gained his formal education through Newport News Public Schools. He lived in Richmond Virginia for over 20 years, where he worked as a painter , and also worked for the Salvation Army and Walmart as a stocker.
He loved his family dearly. He would come in town and visit old friends and reminisce about their younger years. He would talk to his sister Beddie and his cousin Erma on a daily basis. He enjoyed watching scary movies and his favorite movie to watch was King Kong and Godzilla. He would remember his niece Katina Harris birthday and send her a thoughtful card
He is preceded in death by parents Dorothy M. Ruffin and Aley D. Ruffin, sister Jean Buie, brothers Aley(Ronnie) Floyd(Mokie) Ruffin and Michael Harris.
He is survived by his sister Bernadette Harris and a host of nieces and nephews, and great- nieces and nephews. His special friends Ernestine Lemon that he hung out with in Richmond, and his close friend Tato Pope, and other relatives and friends
I Calvin Leon Ruffin to say in the name of the Lord, who has given me the life and blessings days to live, until the good Lord has called me in to rest in peace, and to my family and nieces, nephews, sister in laws, cousins and all my friends I have known in my life, I thank you all gracefully for the support of my funeral, and may God bless you all in Jesus name we all pray. AMEN
