Mr. Anthony Clarke Obituary

Mr. Anthony Cornelius Clarke “54” affectionately known as “Tony” to his family and friends on Friday April 30, 2021 departed this earth for his Heavenly home.

Anthony’s life’s journey began on November 24, 1966 in Newport News, Virginia to the late Sidney A. Clarke and Harry W. Marrow. He was educated in Hampton City public school system, and a proud graduate of  Hampton High School class of 1986 where he was able to exercise his passion for playing football for the Hampton High Crabbers helping them  to obtain several state championships. After graduating from Hampton High School Tony decided to further his education at Saint Paul University.

Growing up his father was the owner of Marrow Brick and Block Masonry where Tony watched and learned his father’s craft. Tony developed a passion for masonry and now his work can be seen throughout the Hampton Roads area as well as other places.

Tony had a radiant personality that touched a lot of people, his contagious laugh that brought sunshine on a rainy day, he had a comedian’s spirit where he loved to laugh and joke with people, he also had a serious side where he loved to sit down and have deep conversations. Tony touched so many lives in various ways, to know him is to love him, he had just that type of personality. Tony will be profoundly missed, by his family, friends, and all who knew him.

Anthony is preceded in death by his Parents, Sidney A, Clarke and Harry W. Marrow.

He leaves to cherish his memories, Two daughters, Tonette Lashae Holden, and Lateaia Price both of Hampton, Virginia; two sons Myron L, Smith of Atlanta Georgia and Anthony C. Clarke Jr., of Hampton, Virginia. Two sisters Pamela Y. Marrow of Richmond, Virginia and Pamela L.
