Mr. Adrian Curtis Maven passed from this life on January 14, 2026. He was born and raised in Hampton, Virginia. Adrian was the youngest of nine children. He attended grade school in Hampton and graduated from Hampton High School. Adrian was employed by the Hampton City Schools for over 20 years where he proved to be a diligent and hard working employee.
Adrian was a prior member of the Riverview Baptist Church in Hampton, VA. He was saved and baptized and served in the church for several years. He played the piano for several choirs of the church.
He also sang and played the piano for his family group consisting of all siblings, the Family Inspirations. He was a very gifted and talented singer and pianist.
Adrian was preceded in death by his father, Thomas Maven, Sr.; his mother, Hannah Maven; his sister, Gloria Ray; and his sister, Peggy Fields. He is survived by his siblings - Thomas Maven , Jr., Viola Hanks, Sylvia Lawton, John Maven, Cynthia Gibbs, and Robert Maven - and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Adrian was well liked by family and those who knew him. He had a quiet demeanor and was honest and dedicated to whatever he was called to do. To his family members, he was a jewel. He will be truly missed by his loved ones and those who knew him. May he rest in eternal peace with our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
