Minister Dollie Alice Mae Miles Williams

Minister Dollie Alice Mae Miles Williams was born February 16, 1930 to the late Lacy Howard Miles and Lillian Moore Miles.  She was the last of four boys and five girls born by a Midwife in the family home in Newport News, Virginia. She transitioned to her heavenly home on Friday May 7, 2021 while a resident at Riverside Rehabilitation Center.

She was educated in the Newport News public school system. At an early age she gave her life to Christ. She was a self-taught pianist with a beautiful voice.  One of her favorite songs that people loved to hear her sing and play was "I Don’t Feel No-Ways Tired".  She was a member of several Gospel singing groups in the area for years.

She was married to the late Charlie Williams for more than fifty years.  At the time of her passing she was an associate Minister at Love and Hope Christian Church, Hampton, VA under the leadership of Pastor William Watson III. 

She leaves to cherish her memories her beloved niece Carolyn Miles Snow and her husband James E. Snow and a host of nieces and nephews.

An online homegoing celebration for Minister Williams will be held at 11:00 a.m., Sunday, May 16, 2021 on Love and Hope Christian Church, Facebook Live by Dr. William  Watson III.
