SPC. Frederick Lamar Johnson, Jr., 27, of Newport News, Virginia, passed away on June 4, 2019 from a single car accident.
Frederick was born November 8, 1991. Frederick was an active Army Reservist at HHC5-159 GSAB Langley Fort Eustis, VA. He was finishing school for a career in Pharmacy. He was loved by all who knew him.
He was preceded in death by his sister, Tayah Janiese Nashae Johnson; his grandmothers, Hazel Kimbrew-Cochran and Terrissa Johnson-Perrin; and his dad's father figure, William F. Bowser.
He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife, Mrs. Aleni S. Zavesky-Johnson; his step-daughter, Amira Zavesky; his parents, Mr. Frederick L. Johnson, Sr. and Mrs. Christy L. Johnson; his brother, Mikel Johnson; his sisters, Terrisha Johnson and Diamond-Terese Johnson, Jaime A. Peller, Malia Harris and Journey Harris; his aunts, Shanita Johnson, JaNikka Cochran; uncles, Khalifa Cochran and Kalule Cochran; cousins, Shanitinae Benson, Syriah Cochran-Webb, Syier-Khalil Cochran, Kiyon Cochran, Ra'sion Johnson, Infinity Johnson, Avontez Moore, Victor Goodman, Shelia and Eugene Goodman; grandparents, Ervin Sanders and Carol Sanders-Kimbrew; great aunts, Annette Goodman, Edna Almond-Johnson, Alice Kimbrew-Hampton, Linda Kimbrew, and Donna Kimbrew-Lispscomb, Saran Sanders-Baldwin, Connie Sanders; great-uncles, Calvin Johnson, Lucius Kimbrew, Louis Kimbrew, Timothy Kimbrew, and Danny Sanders; great-great-aunt Artis Mae Johnson-Harris; godmothers, Gwendolyn Reynolds and Anita Freeman.
A viewing for the late Mr. Frederick Lamar Johnson, Jr. will be held from noon until 5:00 p.m. Monday, June 10, 2019 at C.C. Carter Funeral Home, Inc.
Services will be held 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, June 11, 2019 at New Hope Baptist Church, 1415 Big Bethel Road Hampton, VA. by Dr. Christopher C. Carter Sr.
Interment with military honors will follow at Albert G. Horton Memorial Veterans Cemetery, Suffolk, VA.
