Ms. Wilnette Edwards Obituary
Wilnette Edwards, a life-long resident of Newport News, departed this life on July 29. Her education began in Newport News public schools and was completed upon graduation from Homer L. Ferguson High School in 1979. To complete her thirst for knowledge, she went on to earn a Bachelor of Science degree from Christopher Newport University, May 1985. She was an avid music lover, especially the “golden oldies” from the 50, 60, and 70s. Karaoke was also a favorite of hers. She loved to travel and experience different ventures.
At an early age she became a member of Wesley Grove United Church of Christ.
She was predeceased by her father Willie Edwards and mother Goldie Harris Edwards.
A memorial service for Ms. Wilnette Edwards will be held 2:00 p.m. Saturday, August 17, 2019 at Wesley Grove United Christian Church, 2308 Roanoke Ave, Newport News Virginia.
