On Tuesday, April 24, 2018 God called His beloved Servant Terri Shiree Mason home. Terri was born in Trenton, New Jersey November 3, 1975. She lived there until relocating to Newport News Virginia.
Terri was educated in the Trenton Public School System, during her years in New Jersey. She drilled for the New Breed Drill Team as well as the Trenton Central High School Choir and Sports Night “Red Team” Dance Squad.
Terri began her career at Newport News Shipbuilding in December of 2001, where she was currently a Production Planner & Scheduler. She was a member of the African American Shipbuilders Association and a member of Women in Shipbuilding Enterprise. Terri loved volunteering as a Big Sister through the Big Brothers & Big Sisters of Hampton Roads Program. She actively participated in community events such as the American Heart Walk and Relay for Life.
Terri advanced her career by going back to school where she earned her Associates Degree from Thomas Nelson, but Terri didn’t stop there. She went back and received her Bachelor of Science from Hampton University in 2009 and Master’s in 2015 all while raising her three beautiful children.
Terri was preceded in death by her Father, Robert Owens and her Maternal Grandmother, Mary (Monk) Mason.
Terri’s memory will be cherished and forever remembered by her three Sons, Davino Ingram, Jonair and Jaden Hill. Two Grandsons, Kayden Ingram and Davino Matthew Ingram, and her Mother Donna M. Salter all of Newport News, Va. Three siblings, Maurice Coon of Ohio, Teletha, Quadirah and Robin Green, all from Trenton, NJ. Nephews, Alex Gonzales and Maurice Coon Jr, of Ohio, Shamaur Coon of West VA. Nieces MeKiah and Yeniah Coon of VA, Zyaun Coon of Ohio and Tijanay Green of NJ and a host of uncles, aunts, cousins and friends. A very special Uncle, Bruce A. Mason whom Terri loved just like a Father. She even called him “Uncle Daddy”
A celebration of life service will be held at Noon Saturday, May 5, 2018 at New Hope Baptist Church 1415 Big Bethel Road; Hampton, Virginia, with Pastor Sidney H. Lassiter II as the Officiant.
Interment will follow at Hampton Memorial Gardens Gardens.
A Repass will be held in the Fellowship Hall of the Church after interment.
Family will receive friends 45 minutes prior to the service.
It is the desire of the Mason family that you keep them in your thoughts and prayers.
