Ms. Joyce Townes

Ms. Joyce Ann Townes was born on 12-31-49 in Newport News, Va. And departed this life on 7-5-2018 in the Envory Retirement Home.

Joyce was born to the late Florine Townes and Josh Rooks.

Joyce received her education in the Newport News public school system. 

Joyce leaves to cherish her memories to her loving and devoted family. Brothers Charles Townes Sr. and Pastor Leon Townes Sr. Two loving sisters Debra Kelly and Leslie Rooks. Two sons Jadean Rooks and Eric Townes. Four grandchildren Jazz Jones, Andre Morris, AshraRooks and Iesha Rooks along with 8 great grandkids and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Services for Ms. Townes will be held 11:00a.m. Friday, July 14, 2018 at New Hope Baptist Church 1415 Big Bethel Rd. Hampton, VA. by Pastor Leon Townes. 

Viewing for Ms. Townes will be held from noon until 6:00p.m. Thursday, July 13, 2018 at C.C.Carter Funeral Home, Inc.
