On the evening of May 20, 2019, at the age of 82; Betty Ora Kates peacefully went home to be with her Heavenly Father after a sudden illness.
Betty Ora Kates was born June 15, 1936 to the late Emmie Childress and Grant Barbour. Betty always showed a passion to care for the needs of others before herself. She enjoyed sewing, growing flowers, and cooking. She was known to love especially on children, and has extended immense attention to all children, and has made them an addition to her family.
Her talents of sewing, cooking and caregiving provided for her family, but most of all, her love brought people from all walks of life together. Betty never discriminated and would offer generosity to anybody. Her words of encouragement, radiating smile, and gentle touch will be missed by all. We will forever hold on to the memories that will guide us through this time of difficulty.
