Mrs. Bessie Thomas transitioned Monday, June 4, 2018 at her Home in Hampton, VA.

Mrs. Bessie Thomas was born November 25, 1933 in Wrightsville, Georgia. She was a homemaker for over 30 years. Mrs. Thomas was also a Eastern Star member for over 25 years.

Mrs. Bessie Thomas was proceeded in death by her mother, Mattie Dickens; daughter, Ernestine Salim; great grandson, Tracey Cofield Jr.; sister, Dorothy Mitchelle and her brother, Rudy Banks.

She is survived by her four grandchildren, Roselyn Gilmer (James); Stacey Cofield-Reid (Alonzo); Tracey Cofield (Lisa) and Marquez Cofield. Mrs. Thomas has 11 great grandchildren and 12 great great children and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.

A viewing will be held Thursday, June 14, 2018 from 11a.m. to 1p.m. at C. C. Carter Funeral Home. Repass will be at Jeremiah Lodge, 2515 Chestnut Ave, NN.
