Mrs. Apryle T. Oliver- Wazeerud-Din

April T Oliver-Wazeerud-Din of Newport News, Virginia returned to her creator on October 11, 2019. April was born in Greenville, South Carolina on February 20, 1952 to Marcelous Oliver and Amanda Thompson Oliver. She left Greenville at an early age moving with family to Louisville, Kentucky.

April was preceded in death by her father Marcelous Oliver; sisters Barbara and Deborah; brother Eddie. April attended the public schools in Louisville with the plans on becoming a nurse. This dream was realized when she entered the Army working in the medical field, especially psychiatry. April left the Army in the early 90’s moving to Virginia where she enrolled in college. Through her army years and after she always kept a close relationship with her best friend Rhonda. During her army years and after, they always talked about their children. This relationship continued up to April’s passing.

April is survived by her loving husband Raymond, mother Amanda Williams of Greenville, SC; stepmother Ruthie Oliver of Louisville, KY; daughter Tonia of Louisville, KY; son Gerald (Heather) of Louisville, KY; two sisters Cheryl and Carolyn both of Louisville, KY; brothers Michael (Indonesia), Gerouska of Greenville, SC and Mark of Louisville, KY; six grandchildren; and a host of nephews and nieces who loved her dearly.

Viewing for the late Mrs. Apryle T. Oliver- Wazeerud-Din will be held from noon until 4:00 p.m. Sunday, October 20, 2019 at C.C. Carter Funeral Home, Inc.

Services will be held 2:00 p.m. Monday, October 21, 2019 at C.C. Carter Funeral Home, Inc.

Interment with Military Honors will be held noon Tuesday, October 22, 2019 at Albert G. Horton Jr., Memorial Veterans Cemetery.
