Mr. Louis Winegan brother of Mrs. Dorothy Futrell and Mrs. Frances Watson, transitioned peacefully Friday, October 4, 2019 at Newport News Nursing and Rehabilitaion Center in Newport News, Virginia.
He was born to the late Lennie and Louise Winegan on January 29, 1933 in Newport News, Virginia.
Left to cherish and honor his memories, are his two loving sisters Dorothy Futrell and Frances Watson. A nephew Kennie Futrell who faithfully cared for him for over eleven years, as well as a host of aunts, nephews, nieces, cousins and neighborhood friends.
I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith. Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing. 2 Timothy 4: 7-8
Viewing for Mr. Winegan will be held from noon until 5:00 p.m. Monday, October 7, 2019 at C.C. Carter Funeral Home, Inc.
A graveside service will be held 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, October 8, 2019 at Emmanuel Baptist Church Cemetery, 11150 Emmanuel Church Road, Smithfield, Virginia by Dr. Christopher C. Carter, Sr.
