Mr. Johnie “J.T.” Thompson from Kershaw, South Carolina entered into eternal glory on Saturday, August 3, 2019. J.T. was born November 4, 1934 to the late Allen and Jannie Trapp. In 1960 he married the love of his life the late Rev. Ida D. Thompson.
After completing high school, J.T. entered into the United States Army from 1952 until 1957. After serving his country for five dedicated years, J.T. became a Certified Brick Mason until the age of 72.
J.T. was preceded in death by his brother David Trapp and daughter Barbara Thompson.
Left to cherish and honor his memories are his children Charlene Ryan (James); Mary Thompson (J.R.); Aletha Fowler (Steve); Johnie Thompson Jr. (Yolanda); Vickie Peele; Muhammad (Sulaiman); Gearine Woods; Robin Ann Wright; Tourean Richardson; Keith Jones; Greg Trapp and a host of love ones, extended family members and friends. J.T. will be missed by all who knew and loved him. Rest In Peace J.T.
A viewing for Mr. Johnie Thompson will be held from noon until 6:00 p.m Friday, August 16, 2019 at C.C. Carter Funeral Home, Inc.
Services will be held noon Saturday, August 17, 2019 at The Salvation Army 1033 Big Bethel Road, Hampton Virginia by Captain Michael Good.
Interment will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park.
