Mr. John T. Blacknall

On Tuesday, August 21, 2018 at the Hampton Veterans Affairs Medical Center,Mr.  John Thomas Blacknall, transitioned from labor to rest.

John was born January 21, 1934 to the late Leroy and Harriet Blacknall.  He was the youngest of six children all preceded him in death.

John was born, raise and educated on Cape May, New Jersey.  Upon graduation, he enlisted in the United states Navy, and retired after twenty-two and half years of loyal service, as a Navy Chief, and achieved ranking of Sargent 1st Class.

John Thomas Blacknail leaves to cherish his memories, his loving and devoted wife of thirty-one years; Aline E. Blacknall, two children; Sidney Johnson and Sherall Johnson of Hampton, VA, two grandchildren; Tiffiney Johnson and Royce Bandy of Hampton, VA, one great-grandchild; Tavarous Gatling and a host of nieces, nephews, and extended family and friends.

We know the road had gotten a little heavy, and the pain a little hard to bear; You heard the Master call, and to this world, you said fare well.  Sleep on take your rest; we will see you in the morning. The Family

Services for Mr . Blacknall will be held 11:00a.m. Tuesday, August 28, 2018  at the Church of Jesus 630 Anderson, Ln  Hampton, VA. by  Elder Clarence Johnson  

Interment with full military honors will be held at Albert G. Horton Memorial Veterans Cemetery . Suffolk, VA.

Mr  Blacknall will lie in state two hours prior to service  at the Church
