Mr. Howard Witherspoon passed January 15, 2018. He was born June 4, 1944 in Emporia, VA to the late Henry and Esther Witherspoon.

He is preceded in death by his parents and a daughter, Andrea Witherspoon.

He is survived by two sons, Ricky Witherspoon (Marita), Rodney H. Witherspoon (Salamah); one daughter, Rene Whitney (Anthony); former spouse, Bertha Harris Witherspoon; and his devoted life partner of 30 years, Della Morse.

Services for Mr Witherspoon will be held 1:00 p.m. Saturday, January, 20, 2018 at Ivy Baptist Church 50 Maple, Ave Newport News, VA. by Dr. Kevin Swann .

Viewing for Mr Witherspoon will be held two hours prior to service
