De’Mone Nathaniel Apple affectionately known as “ Mone” transitioned peacefully on Monday April 22, 2019 in his home in Newport News, VA at the age of 37. He was born on July 18, 1981 to Vanessa Apple-Russell and Charles Nathaniel Jordan.
De’Mone was a graduate of Heritage High School, class of 1999. He was an avid fitness leader, as weighting lifting and training was his passion. He was the founder and owner of “Apple Fitness,” which was scheduled to have its Grand Opening in a few weeks.
He was a loving son, father, brother, uncle, nephew and friend. He loved his family especially his children. He had a heart for people and would always help everyone.
De’Mone was employed with Huntington Ingalls over seventeen years in department x31 as a Foreman at the time of his passing.
“Mone” loved his cars and trucks, but his passion was riding his motorcycle.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents.
He leaves to cherish his memory, two sons, Jalen and Jatari Apple of the home; daughter in heart, Journee Nunn of Newport News, VA; a special friend, Tameka Martin of Newport News, VA; his parents; Mr. & Mrs. Keith and Vanessa Russell of Newport News, VA; his biological father, Charles N. Jordan of Grovetown, Georgia; two sisters, Keishawna Apple of Newport News, VA and Sherika Morman(D’Angelo) of Grovetown , GA; his grandparents, Mr. Karl and Vyree Russell, and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, great-aunts and uncles, cousins and friends.
A home-going service will be held noon Friday, May 3, 2019 at First Baptist Church Jefferson Park 615 42nd Street at 12 noon with Dr. Reginald Woodhouse, Eulogist.
Entombment will follow in Hampton Memorial Gardens.
Viewing will be Thursday, May 2nd from 12 – 5 p.m. at C. C. Carter Funeral Home 3314 Roanoke Avenue, Newport News, VA.
