Bryant “Craig” Jordan, 59, who recently moved to Missouri City, TX, but a long time native of Hampton, VA passed away on January 3, 2020, at INOVA Mount Vernon Hospital (Alexandria, VA). Craig graduated from Pembroke High School in 1979 where he was a well-known football and track star. Upon graduation from high school he spent a brief period of time in the United States Marine Corps. His love for cooking lead him to many years working in the culinary arts field.
Craig was a die-hard Redskins fan, he actually had the opportunity to see them play live against the New York Giants on December 19, 2019. While taking a picture a with former Redskins player, Brian Mitchell, he talked about the many times he tackled him….”in his dreams.” Craig had a deep passion for fishing. You could find him most often during the spring and summer months crabbing or fishing at Pinkett’s Beach, Engineer Point near Fort Monroe and various other locations. Craig’s unconditional love for his family and friends unbelievable. He had a sense of humor that caused him to be loved by all. He had a gift for befriending both children and adults. It would only take a few minutes for him to have a lasting effect on you. He was a joy to be around and he could bring sunshine to any gloomy day. If he knew you for any period of time, you would be given a nickname that somehow stuck with you for life.
Craig was preceded in death by his son, Bryant Craig Williams; his parents, James C. Jordan and Audrey M. Jordan; brother, James “Fuzzy” Jordan; nephew, Tory M. Jordan; great-nephew Ke’Von Little.
